Glossary of terms for ceramics and pottery
A special thank you to young Ellie Pruitt for visiting my website and suggesting this addition to my Link page. Surely, her diligent research on the subject will earn her a much coveted Scouts Pottery Merit Badge. Go Ellie!
Katie Argyle
Katie is a talented friend of mine who graduated from the Ottawa School of Art the same year I did, although she had been part of the Ottawa art scene well before that. Her work can be very light and funny, often using familiar animals as a metaphor for one's experience of daily life. It can also be very strong, demonstrating a deep understanding of human nature and circumstances. Katie works with a wide range of mediums and has a predilection for acrylic paint and friendly plastic. She now resides in Toronto.
Maya Hum
I met Maya thanks to her brief time at the Ottawa School of Art. With a musical and visual arts background, she produces work that is both sensitive and introspective.
The National Capital Network of Sculptors
I joined this group in 2012. They present many annual sculptural exhibits in the National Capital Region.
Ontario Arts Council
I received a grant from this Ontario government agency in 2015.

The Ottawa Art Association
I joined this group in 2015.
The Ottawa Guild of Potters
I have been a member of the Ottawa Guild of Potters since 2010. This is a great source of information about ceramics and what's happening in the Ottawa Region.
